Payment:
We accept all major credit
cards and debit cards through the PayPal payment system. You do not need to have a PayPal account. We do not accept credit card payments by phone, fax or email.
We accept money orders and checks through the mail. Lamp shades paid by check normally ship within two business days once the check has cleared. There is a $25 charge for returned checks due to non-sufficient funds.
To purchase a shade that is for sale, send an email to
candy@accentshade.com with your selection. We will calculate the shipping charge together with the sale price and send you an invoice for payment.
Custom lamp shades and
Lamp Shade Repair require a $100 nonrefundable deposit in advance and the balance prior to delivery. To place an order for a custom lampshade or for

***Shipping:Online orders normally ship within three business days by Priority Mail or UPS from Washington State. Allow 3-6 weeks for delivery of custom orders depending on the complexity and time required to complete the shade.
Shipping costs vary greatly depending on the size of the shade. Many large lamp shades are considered "oversized" and may result in higher than normal shipping charges. We will invoice you for the total amount and you may pay through PayPal or by sending a check or money order.
We ship to the US only.
All shipping charges are paid by the customer in advance of delivery.
Damages:We cannot be held liable for lost or damaged items that occurred during shipping. If damage occurs, you must institute a claim with the carrier. Keep all original merchandise, shipping and packing materials and contact the carrier immediately to receive a damage inspection.
Back Orders:Lamp shades for sale on line are normally in stock unless noted. We will notify you if an item is on back order and ship once the merchandise is available.
Returns:Due to the nature of hand crafted items small imperfections may occur. All returns are for exchange only. Requests for exchanges of online purchases must be made within 10 calendar days and merchandise will not be exchanged without prior authorization. Exchanges may be made only on stocked shades and the customer is responsible for all shipping charges. No adjustments will be made after 30 days of date of delivery.
There are no refunds or exchanges on
custom-designed lamp shades or
lamp shade recoverings.
Disclaimer:Fabric lamp shades can be a potential fire hazard. The following guidelines do not guarantee fire protection and Accent Shade is held harmless from any and all liability and damages from accidental or intentional misuse.
We recommend using no more than 40 watt light bulbs in a small lampshade, 60 watts in a medium shade and 75 watts in a large shade. 25-watt bulbs are suggested for candelabra shades. Smaller light bulb wattage will also extend the life of your shade.
Do not let the light bulb touch the shade. Fire or scorching can occur.
Keep the lamp shade out of direct sunlight and away from direct heat such as radiators and heaters.
Fabrics, fringe & beads may vary in color depending on the dye lot. Accent Shade does not guarantee colors will match Web Browsers or samples.
